Notifications tell you when something in Yori needs your attention or has finished, such as an Automation run or a Brand Profile someone shared with you. They also bring you news about new Yori features. You can glance at them from the bell in the top bar, or open the full inbox to filter, read and archive them.
What you'll be notified about
Each notification belongs to a category. You'll see the category under the title in the bell and on the inbox.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Automations | An Automation finished, failed, or needs your answer |
| Product updates | New Yori features, improvements and fixes |
| Knowledge | A Brand Profile or Audience was shared with you, or a Brand Profile you started building is ready or has stopped |
| Billing | Updates about credits and requests for more credit |
| Connectors | Updates about your connected apps |
| Enterprise | Broadcasts and requests in Enterprise workspaces |
| System | General messages from the Yori team |
Notifications are personal and belong to one workspace. You only see the ones sent to you in the workspace you're in. If you expect a notification and can't see it, check you're in the right workspace first.
The notification bell
The bell sits at the top right of the app. When you have unread notifications, a red badge shows how many (up to 9+). Automations in the sidebar has its own red badge for Automations that finished, failed or need your answer since you last opened them.
Select the bell to open a panel showing your eight most recent notifications. At the top are two tabs:
- Unread: only notifications you haven't read yet.
- All: everything, read or unread.
Each notification shows its title, how long ago it arrived (for example, 5m ago, 3h ago or 2d ago), the first lines of its message and its category. Unread notifications have a dot.
From the panel you can:
- Open a notification: select it to read the full message in a window. Opening it marks it as read.
- Archive a notification: select the archive button on the right of a notification to remove it from your list.
- View all notifications: open the full inbox.
If the panel is empty, you'll see "No notifications", with "You're all caught up." on the Unread tab.
The notifications inbox
Select View all notifications in the bell panel to open the Notifications page. The heading tells you how many unread notifications you have, or "You're all caught up."
Filter the list
Two drop-down menus sit above the list:
- Status: All statuses, Unread or Read.
- Category: All categories or any one category from the table above.
Choosing Product updates switches to the product updates view, described below.
Read a notification
Select a notification to open it. The window shows its category, the date and time it arrived, its title and the full message. If there's somewhere to go next, a button at the bottom takes you there, for example Go to Automations. Following the button also marks the notification as read.
Mark all as read
Select Mark all read at the top of the page. If you've filtered by a category, only notifications in that category are marked as read. The button is greyed out when there's nothing unread.
Archive a notification
Select the archive button at the end of a notification's row. It disappears from your list straight away. Archiving can't be undone from the inbox, so only archive things you've finished with.
Product updates
Product updates is Yori's changelog inside the app: new features, improvements and fixes, newest first. There are several ways in:
- Select What's new near the bottom of the left sidebar. A small dot appears on it when there's something new. The panel shows the five latest updates, with a dot next to any you haven't read. Select an update, or View all product updates, to open the full list.
- Choose Product updates in the Category menu on the Notifications page.
- Select Notifications in the breadcrumb at the top to get back to all your notifications.
The Product updates page shows each update with its date, a New marker if you haven't read it, who it's available to (when that applies), a title, a summary, details and highlights. Some updates have a button that takes you straight to the feature.
At the top of the page you'll find:
- Mark all read: marks every new product update as read.
- Public changelog: opens the public changelog on the Yori website.
You can archive product updates that arrived as notifications, in the same way as other notifications.
New feature highlights
When there's an important new feature, a small card can appear in the sidebar, just above What's new. It shows the update's title, a short summary and a button to try it. Select the X to dismiss it. The card only shows for a limited time and doesn't appear when the sidebar is collapsed.
Troubleshooting
- "Notifications didn't load": check your connection, then refresh the page.
- "Couldn't load notifications" in the bell: select Try again in the panel.
- A notification stays unread after you open it: Yori shows "Notification not updated". Try again in a moment.
- "Updates didn't load" in What's new: check your connection and select Try again.
