Services teach Yori your repeatable workflows. Write the steps, standards and examples for a job once, then add the Service to a chat message whenever you want Yori to follow it.

What a Service is

A Service is a small package of documents. Every Service has:

  • A Name and Description so you and Yori can recognise it.
  • An optional Category, such as Content, Creative, Strategy, Research, Marketing, Sales or Operations, or one you type yourself.
  • A main document called SERVICE.md. This is where the core instructions live.
  • Any extra documents and folders you add, such as templates, checklists, tone notes or examples.

Good candidates for a Service are tasks you repeat with the same shape each time: a launch checklist, a weekly social plan, a case study brief, a press release format or a competitor review.

Kinds of Service

Label you'll see What it means
Private Yours. Only you can see and use it.
Shared with organisation Yours, and shared with your team. Teammates can use it, but only you can edit it.
Shared by teammate A teammate's Service shared with the organisation. You can use and read it.
Enterprise-assigned Assigned to your workspace by an Enterprise. You can use and read it, but not edit it.
Yori-made Ready-made Services that come with Yori, called Yori Guided Services on the plans page. You can pick them in chat.

An Enterprise-assigned Service is read-only. You can inspect the package tree and file contents the UI displays, but you can't edit the assigned original. Yori-made Services work differently: you can use them, but their content isn't shown. See Service visibility for the details.

Where to find Services

Open Knowledge in the sidebar and choose Services. This opens the Services page, where you can search, filter, add and open Services. See Service library.

Open any Service to read it, or to edit it if it's yours. See Service page.

Use a Service in chat

You add a Service to a message in the chat composer. There are two ways:

  1. Type $ in the message box. A list of your available Services appears. Keep typing to filter it, then pick one.
  2. Or type / and choose Services ("Add a reusable Yori service to the prompt"), then pick one from the list.

The Service appears as a token inside your message. Write the rest of your request around it, for example what the work is for and any details that change this time, then send. Yori follows the Service's instructions for that reply.

The Services option is greyed out when there are no Services available to you yet.

The message you send uses credits in the normal way. See Services, credits, and ownership.

Plan limits

Plan Private Services you can create
Free trial and Pro Up to 3 per person
Business and Enterprise Unlimited

If you reach the limit, Yori explains that "Pro includes up to 3 private Personal Services per user" and suggests upgrading to Business. Sharing Services with your team also needs Business. See Plans and features.

Good to know

  • Only the owner of a Service can edit it. Sharing never hands editing rights to anyone else.
  • If you want your own version of a teammate's Service, use Make a copy. You get a private copy you can edit.
  • You can delete Services you made from the ... menu on the list or on the Service page. To stop teammates using a Service without deleting it, make it private with Only you.
  • Enterprise admins build and assign Services from the Enterprise area. See Enterprise Services.
