Quick answers to the questions people ask most about Yori. Each answer links to the guide with the full steps.

Getting started

What is Yori for?

Yori is an AI marketing workspace. You ask for posts, emails, case studies, landing pages and images, and Yori writes them in your brand's voice, for the audience you choose, following your Rules. See Welcome to the Yori docs.

How much does it cost to try?

New workspaces start on a Free trial with 25 credits and no card needed. The credits last one month, and each person gets them once. See Plans and features.

What should I set up first?

Add a Brand Profile, then an Audience, then start a project and set its context. The Get started checklist in the sidebar walks you through these. See Getting started.

How do I see the welcome slides again?

Open Settings, choose Getting started and select Show the welcome again. The same page has the Show in sidebar switch for the checklist. See Appearance and tips.

Can I use Yori on my phone?

Yes. Yori works in any modern browser. On a phone, the sidebar slides in when you need it and a project shows the chat or the document one at a time. See Accessibility and mobile.

Projects and chat

Can my teammates see my projects?

No. Projects, their chats and their documents belong to the person who created them. There's no way to share a project, and being an admin doesn't give anyone access. To share a finished piece, export it from Canvas or select Download conversation. See Projects, chats and context.

Should I use Fast or Thinking?

Use Fast for quick edits, short answers and simple questions. Use Thinking for strategy, long drafts and research. New chats start in Fast, or in the mode you last picked. See Chat and messages.

How do I give Yori a document to work from?

Import it into the project with Import documents, then type @ in the message box and choose it. Imported files become editable documents that every chat in the project can use. See Files and imports.

Can I attach a file from Home?

Not yet. Open a project and import the file there instead.

How do I undo something Yori changed in a document?

Select View changes to see what changed. To go back, open Document history and choose Restore this version, or copy back a single section. Restoring saves a new version, so nothing is lost. See Canvas.

Do I need to save my documents?

No. Canvas saves as you type. Check Document details shows Saved before you close the project.

Can I get my work out of Yori?

Yes. Export a text document as Markdown, PDF or Word, download a folder with Export as ZIP, or save a chat with Download conversation.

Why did Yori ask me a question or show a plan?

For bigger tasks, Yori checks details or proposes a plan before it starts. Answer the questions, or select Approve or Approve with notes. See Chat and messages.

Knowledge and sharing

What's the difference between a Brand Profile, an Audience, a Rule and Memory?

A Brand Profile describes your business and how it sounds. An Audience describes who you want to reach. Rules are short instructions Yori follows in every chat. Memory holds facts Yori picks up as you chat. You choose Brand Profiles and Audiences per project. Rules and Memory apply everywhere. See Knowledge overview.

How do I make sure every new project uses my brand?

Set Project defaults. Open Project context in any project, select Configure, choose your default Brand Profiles, Audiences and language, then select Save defaults. See Project context and defaults.

Can I share a Brand Profile or Audience with my team?

Yes, on the Business plan. The owner shares it with everyone in the organisation. Teammates can view and use it, but only the owner can change or delete it. See Share Brand Profiles and Share Audiences.

Can I share my Rules?

No. Rules are personal, and there's no sharing control. Each person sets up their own. See Rules.

How do I change or delete something in Memory?

Ask Yori in any chat, for example "Forget that I prefer short posts." The Memory page is for viewing, and you can turn memory off there. See Memory.

Does joining a workspace share my work?

No. Joining makes Knowledge that others have shared available to you, but your own projects, chats, Rules and Memory stay private. See Permissions, ownership, and sharing.

Services and tools

What is a Service?

A Service is a saved set of instructions for a job you do often, such as a launch checklist or a case study brief. Type $ in the message box to add one to a message. See Services.

How many Services can I create?

Up to 3 private Services per person on Free trial and Pro. Business and Enterprise have no limit. See Plans and features.

Can I inspect or edit an Enterprise-assigned Service?

An Enterprise-assigned Service is read-only when visible in a partner workspace. You can use it in any chat, but the Enterprise keeps its steps private and only the Enterprise can change it. See Service visibility.

Can I see what's inside a Yori-made Service?

No. You can use Yori-made Services in chat, but their content isn't shown and they can't be edited or copied.

Will Yori act in my connected apps without asking?

Yori can only use tools you've switched on in Connectors. New connections start with every tool on, so switch off anything you don't want Yori to do. Yori can run any tool you've switched on, so start with Read actions and add others only when you need them. For some actions it shows Allow this tool to run? first. See Connectors.

Can my teammates use my connected accounts?

No. Each connection is private to you, in the workspace where you made it. Teammates connect their own accounts.

Plans and credits

What uses credits?

AI work: chat replies, building or rebuilding Brand Profiles and Audiences, generating images and videos, and Automation runs. Browsing, editing by hand, importing files and changing settings are free. See Credits and billing.

How do I see how many credits are left?

Select the wallet in the top bar for a Usage breakdown, or open Settings and choose Plans & credits. Each reply also shows the credits it used.

What happens when we run out?

AI actions stop before they start, so nothing is charged. You can still open, read and edit your work. See Out of credits.

Do unused credits carry over?

Monthly credits reset each billing period and don't carry over. Top-ups last 12 months from purchase. Trial credits expire one month after the trial starts.

Do we pay per person?

No. Every plan has unlimited users. Everyone in the workspace shares its plan and credits.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. An admin selects Manage billing, then Cancel plan. You keep your plan and credits until the end of the billing period. See Plans and features.

For admins

How do I invite my team?

Open Settings, choose People and select Invite people. Enter email addresses, choose Member or Admin, then send. See People and roles.

What can admins do that members can't?

Admins manage people and roles, set monthly credit caps, change the plan, buy credits and change the workspace name, URL and logo. Admins can't open other people's projects or private Knowledge. See Permissions, ownership, and sharing.

How do I stop one person using too many credits?

Set a monthly cap for them in People. Choose Custom for a number, or Pause AI to stop their AI use until you change it.

How do I remove someone from the workspace?

In People, open More actions on any row and choose Account settings. Remove the person from the members list in the Organisation window. Their Yori account stays in place.

What happens if I change the workspace URL?

Everyone's links and bookmarks to the old address may stop working. Projects, Knowledge, credits and members don't change. Tell your team the new address. See Workspace behaviour.

Enterprise and partners

What is Enterprise?

Enterprise is for vendors and distributors who run partner programmes. It gives each partner a Yori workspace with your branding, content and a monthly credit limit. See Enterprise overview.

Who can open the Enterprise area?

People in a workspace on an Enterprise plan with an Enterprise role: Enterprise Admin, Billing Manager or Partner/Content Manager. Partner workspaces never see it.

I'm in a partner workspace. How do I get more credits?

A partner admin opens Plans & credits and uses Request more credits. Your Enterprise approves or declines it. See Partner admins.

Why is there a red banner saying my access is suspended?

Your Enterprise has paused or archived your partner workspace. Nothing is deleted. Contact your workspace admin or your Enterprise. See Partner workspace status.
