Yori keeps your controls in the Settings window: your workspace, your own account, your preferences and help. This page shows you how to open Settings, what each section does and how to sign out.
Open Settings
Select Settings near the bottom of the left sidebar. Settings opens as a large window over the page you were on, so you can close it and carry on where you left off.
- Settings reopens on the section you used last. The first time, it opens on Plans & credits.
- Some buttons elsewhere in Yori open a specific section directly. For example, an upgrade prompt opens Plans & credits.
- To close Settings, select the X in the top-right corner or press
Esc.
What you'll see in Settings
The left side of the window lists every section, grouped under three headings. Select a section to show it on the right.
| Group | Section | What it's for | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Workspace | Plans & credits | Your plan, credit balance and buying more credit | Everyone. Only admins can make changes. |
| Workspace | Usage | Messages, chats, Service uses and credits used over time | Everyone |
| Workspace | People | Members, invitations, roles and monthly caps | Organisation admins and Enterprise admins only |
| Workspace | Workspace | Delete workspace. See Delete a workspace | Organisation admins of this workspace only |
| Preferences | Account | Your name, photo, email addresses, sign-in methods, password and security | Everyone |
| Preferences | Appearance | Light, dark or system theme, and the Classic or Icon rail layout | Everyone |
| Preferences | MCP | Yori's address for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot Studio, and the assistants you've connected, each with its workspace. See Use Yori in Claude and ChatGPT | Everyone |
| Help | Getting started | The welcome slides, your checklist and tips | Everyone |
| Help | Send feedback | Report a problem or suggest an improvement | Everyone |
Each section has a title and a one-line description at the top, and its content scrolls underneath.
Settings on a phone
On a small screen, Settings opens full screen and shows the list of sections first. Tap a section to open it. Tap Settings at the top left to go back to the list, or tap the X to close.
Your account menu
Your name and email address sit at the very bottom of the sidebar. Select them to open the account menu. From top to bottom it shows:
- Your current workspace: its logo, name and either Organisation admin or Workspace underneath, depending on your role.
- Switch workspace: every workspace you belong to, with your role on the right. The one you're in comes first, with a tick. Select another workspace to switch to it. If you belong to lots of workspaces, type in Find a workspace to filter the list.
- Invited and Suggested workspaces, if you have any. Select Join to accept and switch to that workspace.
- Load more workspaces, if you belong to more than fit in the list.
- Create organisation: starts a new workspace of your own.
- Your email address, followed by Sign out, which signs you out of Yori on this device.
To manage your own account, use Account in Settings, described below.
For more on switching between workspaces, see Organisations and workspaces.
Manage your account
Your account belongs to you, not to a workspace. Your name, email address, password and security settings follow you into every workspace you join.
To manage your account:
- Select Settings near the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Under Preferences, choose Account.
- Use the Profile and Security switch at the top right to move between the two pages.
Everything happens inside Settings. For some changes, such as your password, an email address or deleting your account, Yori first asks you to confirm it's you. Enter your password, or choose Email me a code instead. If two-step verification is on, you'll also enter a code from your authenticator app.
Profile
- Profile: select Upload photo to change your picture, or Remove to go back to your initials. Edit your first and last name in place, then select Save name. Names follow the same rules as on sign-up: no symbols such as angle brackets, semicolons, equals signs or quotation marks. Your name and photo appear in the sidebar and in People.
- Email addresses: select Add email, enter the address and type the 6-digit code Yori sends to it. Use the … menu next to an address to make it your primary address or remove it. Your primary address is where emails go, and you can't remove it.
- Connected accounts: select Connect Google or Connect Microsoft to sign in with one click. You'll go to that provider to approve it, then come back to Settings. Select Disconnect to remove one.
- Delete account: permanently delete your Yori account. Type Delete account to confirm. This deletes your sign-in, chats, projects, workflows and usage history, and can't be undone. Documents, comments and files you shared stay in their workspace. Saved memories also stay, so ask Yori in a chat to forget them first if you want them gone. Workspaces where you are the only member are deleted too. If one of them has a paid plan, cancel the plan in Plans & credits first; you can delete your account after the plan ends. If you have no workspace, for example after you deleted your last one, use Delete account at the top of the workspace setup page.
Deleting your account is different from leaving a workspace. If you only want to stop using one workspace, ask an admin of that workspace to remove you instead. See People and roles.
Security
- Password lets you set or change your password. Select Change password (or Set password if you don't have one), enter your current and new one, and select Save password. Sign out of other devices is ticked by default.
- Passkeys: select Add passkey to sign in with your device's fingerprint, face or PIN. Use the … menu to rename or remove a passkey.
- Two-step verification: turn the switch on, scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code. Yori then shows your backup codes once, so copy or download them. Turn the switch off to stop using it. While it's on, Get new backup codes replaces your old ones.
- Signed-in devices: see the browsers and devices signed in to your account. Select Sign out next to any you don't recognise, or Sign out of other devices to sign out everywhere else.
Account pages with their own address
You can also reach your account from two pages in Yori:
- Sign-in methods: opens Settings on Account, showing Profile.
- Security: opens Settings on Account, showing Security.
If you close Settings, select Open account settings or Open security settings on the page to open it again.
Sign out
Open the account menu and select Sign out. Yori signs you out and takes you back to the sign-in page. Sign out whenever you've used Yori on a shared or public computer.
To sign out of a device you're not using right now, open Settings, choose Account, switch to Security and sign that device out under Signed-in devices.
Good to know
- Appearance settings are saved in the browser you're using, not to your account. On another computer or browser, you'll need to set them again.
- Being an organisation admin in one workspace doesn't make you an admin anywhere else. Your role is set separately in each workspace.
- Being an organisation admin doesn't give you access to Enterprise billing. Enterprise roles are separate. See Enterprise admins.
