Projects, chats, and context

How projects hold your chats, documents and context, and why choosing the right context matters.

Almost everything you make in Yori lives inside a project. A project keeps the chats, documents and context for one piece of work together, so Yori always knows what you are working on and who it is for.

The building blocks

Thing What it is Where it lives
Project A workspace for one campaign, client, launch or workstream. The Projects list in the sidebar and on Home.
Chat A conversation with Yori inside a project. A project can hold many chats. Chats in the project sidebar.
Project documents Documents, folders and imported files that belong to the project. The Project documents list in the sidebar.
Canvas The editor where you open, write and refine a project document. The right-hand panel of the project.
Project context The Brand Profiles, Audience and language that guide every chat in the project. The Project context button at the top of the chat.

Who can see a project

Projects are personal. A project, its chats and its documents belong to the person who created it. Being a member of the same workspace does not give anyone else access to your projects, and there is no button to share a project.

What you can share are the reusable things a project uses, such as Brand Profiles and Audiences. See Permissions and sharing.

How context guides the work

Project context tells Yori which brand to write as, who it is writing for, and which language to use. It applies to every chat in the project, including chats you start later.

  • Brand Profiles give Yori your voice, tone, messaging and visual identity. You can pick up to three. The first one is the primary profile.
  • Audience tells Yori who the work is for. You can pick up to three.
  • Language sets the language and regional spelling Yori writes in.
  • Solutions libraries appear only in workspaces connected to an Enterprise programme.

Choosing a Brand Profile or Audience in a project does not change who owns it or who can see it. It only tells Yori to use it in this project.

Other guidance applies without picking it per project. Your workspace Rules and what Yori has saved to Memory follow you across projects. You add Services to a single message when you need them.

Defaults for new projects

You can save Project defaults, which are the Brand Profiles, Audiences and language every new project starts with. Defaults only affect projects you create afterwards. Existing projects keep their own context. See Project context and defaults.

Credits

Yori's replies use credits. Each reply shows how many credits it used, and the project shows a running total. See Credits used in a project and Credits and billing.
